We know our Baltimore, MD customers care about safety on the road. The Subaru brand does too. That’s exactly why most Subaru models, including the Subaru Forester and Subaru Outback, come with standard or available Subaru EyeSight® technology.

Subaru EyeSight Technology

Subaru Eyesight® is the Subaru brand’s suite of advanced driver aids. All features function with the use of dual color cameras that are placed on your Subaru vehicle’s rearview mirror. These cameras monitor your car’s surroundings at all times and alert you to dangers such as veering from your lane. This bundle of active safety tools is available on all but the Subaru BRZ and includes an impressive array of in-demand technology.

Adaptive Cruise Control: Especially helpful in highway and stop-and-go traffic, this system helps you maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you by observing the distance direction you provide it — and adjusting speed accordingly.

Lane-keep Assist and Sway Warning: If you inadvertently stray from your designated lane, this feature will help correct the direction of your vehicle.

Pre-collision Braking: This system works to avoid frontal collisions or reduce the impact by automatically stopping your vehicle if it detects an emergency. According to the Highway Loss Data Institute, this system has contributed to a 41% reduction in pedestrian collisions.

Pre-collision Throttle Management: This is another tool that helps mitigate the impact of a collision. If the system senses that you are likely to hit an object in front or your vehicle, it will reduce engine power to decrease the force of impact.

While advanced driver aids like EyeSight do not replace aware and defensive driving, they can provide an extra level of security and alertness on the road. Visit Heritage Subaru Catonsville to test drive any of our EyeSight®-equipped Subaru models.
