The 2016 Subaru Outback now available at Heritage Subaru Catonsville comes in four different trims – the 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, and 3.6R Limited. Standard on all models, the X-MODE adjusts engine response, optimizes the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, and actively employs the braking and traction control systems to maximize grip on slippery surfaces. It also helps provide additional traction when navigating steep inclines with Hill Descent Control. The unique SUBARU BOXER engine has pistons that move side to side, cancelling out each other's vibrations, so it can run smoother and more efficiently. This horizontal layout also offers better balance while delivering a maximum transfer of power. Outback features an efficient 175-hp 4-cylinder engine, as well as an available 256-hp 6-cylinder engine for added performance and towing capability.
The Outback comes with the latest technology on the market including Eyesight Driver Assist Technology that uses two cameras mounted near the rearview mirror to monitor objects in front of the vehicle. The EyeSight Driver Assist Technology can react to conditions even before you do. An alert will be sounded along with a visual warning when it senses the danger of a frontal collision. It can even apply the brakes automatically if you don't. It also optimizes cruise control and can warn you when you're swaying outside your lane. The new Subaru STARLINK in-vehicle technology with Pandora® app integration brings smartphone entertainment and communication to your dashboard, with an available 7-inch in-dash touch-screen and voice controls and is available on all models. The new STARLINK Safety Plus package includes Automatic Collision Notification, which alerts an advisor in the event of an emergency, and Enhanced Roadside Assistance. And the STARLINK Safety Plus and Security Plus package adds remote services, enabling you to lock or unlock your vehicle using your computer or mobile device. Bluetooth® hands-free technology comes standard on all models and lets you manage your phone and audio system both with your voice and controls on the steering wheel. Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones link directly through the Subaru audio system.
