The automaker's sales totaled 52,679 unit sales last month, marking a 5-percent jump over last August's sales. August 2015 sales also helped to push the brand to 375,632 units year to date for a 13-percent increase over January through August of last year.
Last month also marked the 18th month in a row that the Subaru brand has achieved more than 40,000 unit sales. In fact, the following models enjoyed their best August sales ever last month:
· The Subaru Forester boasted a 7-percent sales increase
· The Subaru XV Crosstrek saw a 7-percent jump in sales
· The Subaru Impreza enjoyed a 19-percent sales increase
· The Subaru WRX/STI achieved a 128-percent jump in sales
Both the Subaru Forester and Subaru XV Crosstrek set new monthly sales records thanks to August 2014 figures. With statistics like these on its side, the Subaru brand continues to outperform competitors throughout the industry.
