Subaru is an automaker that focuses on manufacturing crossover SUVs and hatchbacks that are off-road-ready and affordable for the entire family. The company’s vehicles have frequently been named as award-winners in their various segments, and it saw another resounding success last week at the 2016 AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards. At this ceremony, three Subaru crossover SUVs, the 2016 Subaru Outback, 2016 Subaru Forester, and the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, won their segments in the Crossover SUV categories.
Here at our Subaru dealership near Ellicott City MD, we are thrilled that these three Subaru crossover SUV were recognized. AutoPacific is an automotive research and consulting firm that surveyed owners of 2015 and 2016 vehicles across all major manufacturers after 90 days of ownership. The national survey of 15 questions received responses from over 65,000 owners. Respondents gave recommendations for changes to their car or truck in five key areas including ride and handling, interior storage, safety features, power and acceleration, and technology.
At the end of all the surveying, AutoPacific named winners in 24 different vehicle categories. The 2016 Subaru Outback, the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, and the 2016 Subaru Forester were named as winners in their respective categories, which were Small Crossover SUV, Premium Mid-Size Crossover SUV, and Mid-Size Crossover SUV. According to Subaru of America Chief Operating Officer Thomas Doll, “This recognition is a testament to our commitment of providing top quality vehicles with safety, reliability, durability, and comfort in mind.”
