Subaru is known as an automaker that specializes in off-road-focused, family-friendly, and affordable hatchbacks, wagons, and SUVs, but the automaker does a lot more than just manufacture vehicles. The executives at Subaru believe that one their duties as a large company is to give back to the community via charity and other community events. Here at our new and used Subaru dealership near Towson MD, we are proud to announce that Subaru will be participating in two major charity events this month.

The first event that Subaru is going to participate is in called the Team ASPCA New York City Triathlon. ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is an animal welfare organization that focuses on humane pet adoption, animal welfare awareness campaigns, and animal rescue. Team ASPCA participates in world-renowned marathon, half marathons, and other major athletic events. Subaru is one of the sponsors of the triathlon, and the automaker is helping making a real difference to animals in need by providing much needed funding, supporting the ASPCA’s mission, and raising awareness.

The second charity event that Subaru is going to participate in this month occurs on July 30 in Hillsboro, Oregon. The event is known as the Tour de Cure, and it is a series of fundraising events that Subaru of America has been participating in for several years. The event is a bike ride, not a competitive race, aimed at raising funds and awareness in support of the 29 million children and adults living with diabetes. It doesn’t matter if you ride 10 miles or 100 miles, the route is stocked with rest stops, food to fuel the journey, and fans to cheer you on.
