As Baltimore drivers enjoy a pleasant spring and look forward to summer road trips and off-road adventures, they are heading into Heritage Subaru Catonsville to check out all the latest Subaru models. Apparently this was a trend all across the country in April, as the Subaru brand realized record sales for the month. Sales increases are nothing new for the automaker, as April marked the 26th consecutive month of 40,000-plus vehicle sales.

Here at Heritage Subaru Catonsville, we can tell you that these strong sales are a testament to the constantly improving quality of every Subaru vehicle on our lot. Getting deeper into the sales numbers, we can see that Subaru sold a total of 50,380 vehicles in April, which represents a 6.6 percent gain over April 2015. Year to date, the company reported that it has sold 182,777 vehicles in 2016, which is a 2.4 percent gain over that period in 2015.

In terms of individual vehicles, every car in the Subaru lineup is doing well, with the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, 2016 Subaru Forester, 2016 Subaru Outback, and 2016 Subaru WRX/STI reporting notably strong numbers. The Subaru WRX was the car with the largest increase over last year, reporting a 14.1 percent change. The popular Subaru Outback SUV was not far behind, reporting a 14.0 percent uptick.

According to Thomas J. Doll, President and Chief Operating Officer for Subaru of America, “Through the outstanding efforts of our retailers, our franchise was able to report its best April ever. We are proud to be represented by a passionate and dedicated group of retailers who deliver an outstanding purchase and ownership experience to our customers.”
