The 2017 Subaru Legacy is a five-passenger midsize sedan available in five trim levels: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Sport, 2.5i Limited, and 3.6R Limited. The numbers correspond to the two different engine types. The 2.5 engine is a horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine that’s good for 175 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. Step up to the 3.6R Limited trim and you’ll get a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 256 horsepower and 274 lb-ft of torque. Both of these engines are matched to a hardy all-wheel-drive system that will ensure that you don’t slide all over the road during icy conditions.
Inside of its comfortable cabin the 2017 Subaru Legacy is packed with amenities. Even if you choose the budget-friendly base 2.5i trim, you’ll still get a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and audio, a 6.2-inch Subaru Starlink touchscreen interface, a variety of entertainment and information smartphone integration apps, and a four-speaker sound system with a USB port, an auxiliary audio jack, a CD player, HD and satellite radios, and an iPod interface.
