Here at Heritage Subaru Catonsville, most visitors to our dealership only see Subaru as an automaker that makes some of the most rugged yet comfortable off-road wagons in the business. However, the company does much more than make vehicles, and it takes pride in its non-vehicle initiatives such as giving back to the communities that it operates in. Each year, Subaru takes parts in a “Subaru Loves Pets” initiative as part of its Love Promise platform. This campaign aims to educate people about animal welfare and encourages them to give to their local animal shelters.
As part of its Subaru Loves Pet initiative, Subaru dealerships all around the country will activate several programs that help animals in need. The first of these programs is a pet supply, where Subaru retailers across the nation will work hand-in-hand with local animal organizations to host pet supply drives in order to help support animals who lack the necessary materials to live healthy and happy lives. Representatives from the company will collect items such as pet food and treats, toys, dog beds, grooming supplies, collars, harnesses, and leashes to give to animals in need.
One of the other initiatives undertaken by Subaru during its Subaru Loves Pets event is a flyway mission with the animal rescue organization Pilots N Paws. For this mission, pilots transport at-risk animals from kill shelters to no-kill shelters, foster care, and new pet parents. The automaker assisted with ground transportation, food and accommodations for pilots, as well as travel kits for the rescued animals’ journey to safety.
Of course, in addition to learning more about the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, you can check out a new or used Subaru right here at our Subaru dealership in Baltimore, MD.
